Catch My Breath For Me

What have I become?

Facing death has me dumb.

Watching you flap your gums,

is taking my breath away.

Now, what did you create?

Keep finding ways to relate,

so your plan can annihilate,

and take my breath away.

To what did we consent,

by giving up these fragments?

Not just earth and cement,

forcing life and breath away

Why must we pay the masses?

Keeping them in your classes,

while you show them the process,

that takes my breath away.

(it’s taking my breath away)

What if we fall to pieces,

leaving you with your thesis?

Always going on what he says,

and he says to take my breath.

What authority is need?

Wanting may be greed,

but it’s either force or free,

and force takes my breath away
