questions in the rudest way they possibly can.
What do you think their reasons are?

Several reasons...
1) They are just rude in general and it carries over onto this website;
2) They are offended by the question and giving a rude or snappy answer is their way of expressing their disagreement
3) The anonyminity of the web/chat areas unfortunately makes it easier for people to be rude...it's a lot easier to rude on here than it would be if you were face-to-face with the person or personally knew them
That's a few that I can think of anyways...
