Is there any way..?

It's been seeming, this year, that despite forwarding

spam that comes from Yahoo-related addresses to

their mail-abuse department, I'm getting bombarded

with more spam than ever before.

Is there any way to keep it out of my inbox? I wouldn't

mind if it went into my "bulk" box--because I never

bother to look in that one!

And, please, don't tell me to use the "block addresses"

option. That'll keep out any of the addresses that I put

on the list. But NOT any new ones--which, sort of like

viruses, are being created daily.

As much as you probably dont want to hear this paying that 19.99 for the year for a premium IS worth it!

I have one account that I use for work and paid the 19.99 and have had next to NO spam all year. get a lot more spam filters!

and addressguard, so you never really have to give out email address

OR another idea is to possibly 'stop" using the address and create an "EXTRA" address

    Go to Mail

Click on Options (r upper corner)

Click Mail addresses (middle of page)

    At the very bottom

    "EXTRA EMAIL ADDRESS'

    Click to set up

    http://edit.yahoo.com/config/list_alias

    just to clarify...

You will still have THIS address box, but you are giving out a 'different' address

all your preferences remain the same

There is no way to stop all spam w/ Yahoo. One way to stop much of it is to use your filters. You can set up filters to re-direct email to the bulk folder based upon certain criteria.

If you are getting a lot of email that has the same or similar From Name or Subject Line you can filter these out. I set up several general filters and I don't get much spam anymore. You may need to set up more than one filter to completely eradicate spam from certain pesky senders.

Also just keep clicking on "Spam" and adding them to the blocked senders list. With some of the more inventive spammers you can add their domain to the list, that will block many of the user name permutations they use.
