Mormons: Have any good scriptures for when you feel discouraged in your school work?

I wish I had an awesome one to hit you with. But nothing is jumping out at me. Just the story of the Tree of Life. Try studying to good music. Soothing music. Maybe hymns that are just music and no words. OH....got one:

This too shall pass!

Hang tough! It'll be over and worth it someday. Especially when you provide a home for your wife and kids and she can stay home full time because of the job you are now working to get!

Hey you're not the only one who's had bad days. Here is Nephi the....third? I don't know the one in Helaman 7. This as about as close as he is to complaining. In verse 7-9. And you must remember in Alma 37:35 God through Alma tells you that education is really good, even if it is hard. There are a million other scriptures like that in the Doctrine and Covenants too. If you are feeling really down read Doctrine and Covenants section 121. Great stuff there.

But I really do know how you feel. Sometimes I wish I could just ignorant about everything....or stick to 8th grade stuff.

Anyways, I think it's just best to know that God approves of all education and oh! Here is a really good seminary scripture mastery Doctrine and Covenants 130:18-19.

For me, it is 1 Nephi 3:7.

7 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.

"But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved." (Matt 24:13)

Althought the head chopping in the Book of Mormon is pretty good too.

Here's a good one to think of every time you print out your papers, essays, etc.

3 Neph 20:40

"And then shall they say: How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him (or her) that bringeth good tidings unto them, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings unto them of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion: Thy God reigneth!"

Of course, it might help to apply that to Seminary or Institute homework even more. Have a happy day, and I send you a bag of virtual gummy bears.
