What's wrong with my dog?
Recently my dog has been acting weird. Monday she was lethargic and didn't have much of an appetite. Tuesday and Wednesday she wasn't quite herself but she had a fairly normal appetite. Today she was okay all morning and most of the afternoon. But tonight she is lethargic and has a loss of appetite once again. She also shivers every once in a while. Through this whole time she has been drinking and has not been vomiting nor had diarrhea. It kinda seems as though she has something like a cold. She's never been sick. She's not too old, but she's over weight.
3 AnswersDogs1 decade agoPeople who can dunk: What do you do to protect your fingers?
A month ago I ripped the calluses off my fingers dunking. It's the fourth time I've done it. I was finally able to take the bandages off yesterday. This is a long and painful process, and I'm sick of it! Every time I get calluses built up they get ripped off. I've used tape and finger sleeves, any other suggestions?
5 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoDo some species of Juniper trees only grow at certain elevations?
I live in Pocatello, Idaho. Pocatello is located in a valley and we're surrounded by mountains. Pocatello sits at about 4,500 feet elevation. As I was studying a mountain in east Pocatello, Chinks Peak, (sorry that's what we call it) I realized that it's foot hills are covered in junipers, but you can almost see like a tree line where they stop growing. Here's a few pictures: http://flickr.com/photos/phydeaux460/562717135/

The side of Chinks that faces Pocatello is very dry. The other side is densely covered in timber- not near the same amount of junipers.
The Mink Creek area is south of Pocatello. It's home to Pocatello's biggest mountain- Scout Mountain. It's foothills are also covered in junipers, but they're virtually nonexistent on Scout Mountain. The Mink Creek Area is anywhere between 5,000 to 8,600 feet.

1 AnswerBotany1 decade agoShould the "protesting" outside of Mormon events be legal? ?
I know that we have the right to protest, but what are these people protesting? We're not preforming any illegal activities, or harming anything or anybody. These people are more of bigots than they are protesters. These activities are not very American. Can't we all just get along?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHypothetical situation: Can you prove this can't happen?
Last night I was pondering the mysteries of the universe and I had this thought come up- here it is: What if when someone learned their colors they saw a color (lets say blue) and they learned that is was blue, but in actuality they saw red. So it appeared that this person learned all their colors right, but they saw the world completly different than everyone else. What situation could make this person relize they saw the world different than everyone else?
18 AnswersPhilosophy1 decade agoWhat's your predictions for the second meeting of Duke, and UNC?
Last meeting UNC didn't have Ty Lawson, but they did have homecourt advantage. Next meeting is in Cameron Indoor Stadium- one of the hardest places to play in all of sports- if you aren't Duke. UNC hasn't showed that they can consistently play well while Duke has played like the #1 team in the nation in every game except the Pitt game. If you ask me this is a formula for disaster for UNC.
6 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoHow did UNC get ranked #1 with the schedule they have?
http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/teams/nav/schedule;_...
They haven't showed me that they are the caliber of #1. Texas, on the other hand as shown that they can play with the big boys. They've already beat TWO top ten teams.
5 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoWhat kind of snow year can ski resorts expect in Idaho, Wyoming, and North Utah?
I plan on a few trips to Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, and Snowbird. I live in southeastern Idaho and will spend most of my year at a small area named Pebble Creek. If you know of any predictions, your help would be greatly appreciated.

7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWould a true basketball fan/ player show any hate towards His Airness, Michael Jordan?
As you may have noticed Michael Jordan is a hot topic on the basketball section of Yahoo! Answers. There are a lot of fans of MJ, but there are also a ton of Jordan haters. These "Jordan haters" attempt to do the unheard of- prove that MJ was nothing special. From where I stand a true player or fan of the NBA would die before doing that. But it got me thinking... what if there are true NBA fans or basketball players out there that hate Michael Jordan? What's your opinion?
P.S. As you may of noticed Kobe Bryant is not included in my question... so don't talk about him.
10 points goes to the user who best explains why or why not a true basketball player/fan would hate on MJ.
26 AnswersBasketball1 decade agoVERY difficult riddle- are you up for the challenge?
You hike 10 km into the Sawtooth Mtns. (Idaho) in late June. You find an alpine lake. It appears that you can see the bottom. At it's widest point it's 95 m, and at it's longest point it's 455 m. You wan't to make a depth profile of the lake but there are some conditions:
1. No motors.
2. No electronics
3. You may not get wet.
4. You may not leave shore
5. You must carry all your equipment in, spend 2 nights, and three days.
Good luck!

2 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoHow to you build a rail that you can grind with a snowboard?
I reccently found a 12 foot metal pole/ rod buried in my back yard. I'd really like to make a rail out of it. I think I have all the materials to make it- I have: the rod, ton's of wood, wax, and of coarse all my boarding gear. I've snowboarded 6 years- experience with grinding isn't a probleme. Another thing- I'd like to try it out and use it untill the season starts- any suggestions on how to use it with no snow?

Grant Hill has had four operations on his ankles.
