You wear it on your right ring finger. Not your left. You left is for the actual engagment ring and wedding band. If you wear it on you left people think your engaged. Trust me. I wear mine on my right hand, but I'll be getting my engagment ring with in the next year. Congrats by the way. :)

I have one and I wear it on my left ring finger - same as a wedding ring. Also if it's one with hearts on it, the pointed end of the heart is supposed to pointed towards your hand to signify that you are taken.
