Tuesday nights Yankee game?

I know it wasnt a game we had to win because there is five more to play but dont you agree that Torre should have made sure he won the game before he put in loser pitchers? TO SEAL THE DEAL? Then he can play his pitchers any time cause it wont matter. I bought champagne last night to celebrate with the Yankees and I had to keep it chilled darn it. WEll I want to drink my champagne !!!!!!!!!!!

Wow the Red Sux fans must be alcoholics if they want to have the champagne that Yankees fans are looking to celebrate a playoff birth with.

With the Yankees payroll and multi-talented players, you knew they were going to make the playoffs. Therefore, you should've had that champagne when the season started. I knew the Red Sox would be in the playoffs as well ( 2nd. highest payroll in baseball and multi-talented players also ), so I didn't celebrate them just making the playoffs. I will celebrate playoff wins and hopefully a World Series Title. But in the meantime, don't worry about the moves Joe Torre makes. He's such a great manager. It seems some Yankee fans don't appreciate or respect everything he's done for this team. Did he not win a few championships, even though the last one was 7 years ago?

Well I think Torre didn't want to "push his luck" with Igawa so he took him out after 87 (?) pitches and give the other dudes some work. Unfortunately Ramirez struggled to get even 1 out and then tried too hard to get the 2nd out which didn't happen until Bruney and by then things were taking a turn for the worse

Mary, you bought champagne to celebrate a 180 million dollar wild card berth? that's dedication.

I think you should crack it anyway, the odds that the Yankees lose the rest of the season and the Tigers win, are about as remote as when the Tigers did the same thing to the Blue Jays in 1987.

oh, that happened, oops. I would still crack it anyway.

Last night's game is a result of the two back to back extra innings games they had to play, it finnaly caught up with the Yankees.

Do not worry, you will crack your champaign, but you should not need a reason to drink other than, my favorite saying, "Does todays day end in a Y, then im drinking!"

Gonna have to wait until Friday...unless the Tigers lose a game..The Rays OWN the Yankees

is it really worth buying champagne for it? They have gotten to the playoffs for the past 10 years. Is it really worth celebrating?

With 5 games left the Yankees DO have to win as much as they can - that's why Yankees fans are so disliked....arrogance.....

You might have to share that champagne with a Red Sox Fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think you'll be cracking that bottle open any time soon.
