Horizontal Intercept?

Does a slope-intercept form always have a horizontal intercept?

If so how do you find it?

Heres an example problem. y= -2.2/6x + 16.1

Update:

Thank you two. Thats the answer I got but I just wanted to check, because I never heard of a horizantal intercept. And the question asked if the equation has one, so i wasn't sure if they always did have one

    Any line with a non-zero slope has a x (or horizontal) intercept (a line with 0 slope has no x intercept, since it is parallel to the x-axis and therefore never crosses it).

    To find this intercept, set Y to zero, then solve your equation for x.

    Here's a non-numerical example:

    y = mx+b where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

    Set y to 0:

    0=mx+b

    Subtract b from both sides:

    -b=mx

    divide both sides by m to get your x intercept

    x = -b/m

    A slope intercept form is y = m*x+b

    If m=0 and b<>0 then there will not be a horizontal intercept

    ie: y = b<>0.

    otherwise to find the intercept set y = 0

    0 = -(2.2/6)*x+16.1

    (2.2/6)*x=16.1

    x = 16.1/(2.2/6) ~ 43.91

    Equation of given line interior the intercept style could be written as (t/4) + (y/six hundred) = a million solutions: a) Vertical intercept of function c is six hundred b) Horizontal intercept of function c is 4 c) The area and variety is given via (0,six hundred) and (4,0)
