M.S. and cholesterol drugs?
Has anyone with MS tried taking a cholesterol drug for either trying to help the MS and/or helping high cholesterol? I have heard it is promising in treating MS, and I do have high cholesterol, but my docs say the drugs are poison. Anybody tried it?
I don't know that there is a link between the 2, but some small chol. drug studies have shown that they can reduce lesions. It seems all docs have their own opinions on chol. levels. I would love to get off the shots too.

I am very curious about this because my family is inflicted with MS and I wonder if high cholesterol is linked with MS in any way. I am curious if this is an acceptable means of treatment and if it works by slowing the progression of the disease as the interferon injections do.
Have you considered another doctor? Just curious because sometimes it is helpful to get a fresh perspective. I am also curious how much more harmful are the drugs verses the injections. I will pop back in and see if my parents have heard about this.
