Has anyone's credit been damaged because a stupid hospital failed to file a claim?
To make it worse, it was sent to collections and the collections agency said they would also file the claim, but they waited too long and it was denied. Then they dinged my credit because they never heard from me when they called my house and no one answered, and no voicemail to know you called. "It's elementary, my dear Watson "I was at work. They finally left a message two months later to call them regarding this. I was waiting to hear from them once the claim was filed. Do I have a case for dispute, or have I paid stupid tax for relying on the goofs to file the claim?
Claim has been paid in full once I realized they were trying to reach me. I am more concernd with the ding to my credit because I relied on them getting back to me after they filed the insurance. They assured me that they would get back to me, however, they call me while at work and did not leave message for two months!!! Since they didn't hear from me, they reported to the credit bureaus.
Insurance will be filed also. I just want my credit restored.

You can write a dispute letter and send it to the credit bureaus explaiing your sode.
Did they send you anything by mail??? It's weird that they would only call.

Did you contact your insurance company when you first notified of the unpaid bill? The collector would never file a claim with the insurance.
You are going to have to pay the bill. Somewhere you signed a form saying you would be responsible for the bill. The hospital agreed to dile a claim with your insurance but you agreed to pay if insurance didn't.
Go back to your insurance company and see if you can get them to reimburse you.
