An 11 year old girl commits suicide in Ayrshire whats the world coming to?

That's sad.

As a society we need to take more care of our young, and make sure they get the right treatment in case of this kind of illness (depression).

Salam A six year old girl committed suicide is caused by the negligence of her parents who could not educate her properly.She is still under the responsibility of her parents so her parents will have great sins while the 6 year old girl without sins will enter the heaven Her parents would be brought into the hell and be tortured..You are right that a kid before puberty is not accountable for herself She will be forgiven by Allah insya Allah.

This is just awful and becoming more and more common. It is time to separate feral brutes from mainstream education. I don't care how much it takes. As a tax payer I would like to see my money spent on something that would improve matters. Bring back Approved Schools and Borstal. The hoodies who haunt our streets are mainly schoolchildren anyway. I know one thing, if I were young enough I would never bring a child into this world (ie the UK) unless I could afford private education.

Suicide is nearly always a cry for help. Unfortunately its not always easy to spot this cry until its too late. Parents and friends should always listen out for the small signs that children or their elders give. Maybe in this and other tragic cases nobody was listening.

Whatever happened to this young girl, that the only thing she could think of was to end her life.

So many bad things are happening to our children today, surely there must be someone they can confide in. Perhaps the schools could have afer school counselling sessions, or safe houses, where they could talk through the

problems they are having.

Too many young lives are being wasted, this way.

How dreadful for her loved ones and friends.

I don't think it is entirely fair to say child abuse. That might be the case, it could be bullying at school, peer pressure and goodness only knows what else.God Bless her family in this sad time.

Suicide among teens has been on the rise for awhile, maybe it's a sign for adults to slow down and get back to what's really important, their children. Spend all that time making money to buy name brands etc, doesn't do children a world a good if they're dead. I don't mean to sound so harsh, but it's true. If parents are not able to balance their lives and provide support and guidance to their children they shouldn't have them in the first place. To sum it up, parents need to pay more attention.

I agree with Neil M. Sometimes kids don't feel they can talk to their parents either. So maybe if they know there is someone out there they can talk to it might help. Something really horrible must have happened to her to think she didnt to do something like this . God Bless her. How tragic.

it makes you think what is going on in this world are we all to busy to see when a child needs help i don't know how many children have taken there lives this year but i bet its quite a few

it is indeed a sad, bad world when the young can find nothing to live for, my heart goes out to her family and friends x
