Does anyone else agree that voting for a MPP is useless as they are not held responsible for their actions?

Since the creation of the Provincial gov't there have been no member(s) held accountable for the failure of the gov't to maintain services, facilities and basic amenities to which they are responsible. Regardless of which party gets control or who gets to lead, there is never any improvement. Since changing the political parties doesn't seem to work (at least not in the last 200 years) is there any point to voting for a political candidate just to watch them fail and pass the buck?!?

Why can't we change the system, if it's not working? Better yet, why can't we hold politicians accountable for their choices and their actions? No more freebies, no all expense vouchers or credit cards, no gifts or tax exemptions! Let the gov't be monitored by an independent company to enforce fiscal responsibility & frugality! Why are Ontario taxpayers paying for things they don't get and don't use??? Why can't we vote in a real change, instead of shuffling the players?

I think that politicians should have to come up before a citizens review board and explain themselves once a year, and if found to be out of line they can be recalled. An MPP's boss is the citizens of Ontario, why should they get out of having to face the "boss" I also think there should be term limits, people who've been in office for more than 12 years shouldn't be able to run again, if the people aren't going to vote that candidates party out, let's at least have a fresh face representing that party with maybe some new ideas?
