Why is it that whenever i start to sleep, I feel that my body feels warmer and perspiration takes place?

This happens when the temperature is just right when I'm awake. I feel comfortable when I'm awake. But, when i fall asleep, I start to feel uncomfortable, and I surely will get up and adjust the thermostat(cooler) of the airconditioner. Do you guys experience it too? What would be the explanation to what I am experiencing? Even when I'm in a car with airconditioner, I feel that change in my body too when I sleep. My question is what's the difference between sleeping and being awake with regards to temperature?

It could be the surge of testosterone that happens when you sleep. They say you should actually be pretty cool when you sleep, using lightweight blankets to keep warm. Do you generally wear synthetic clothing? That can also trap heat against your body. If you're really concerned, have a chat with your doctor.
