Watering Ban Question in Georgia?
All the counties in Northern Georgia are under a total water ban, this means no washing cars in driveways. Now, I live in an apartment complex where everyone uses the same car care center. (I don't use it, I usually pay to get mine done) But, would this be considered illegal as well?
Not my paying to get it done, but them washing their cars in the car care center in the apartment complex...thanks!
It isn't a business, it is a self serve wash and it is free just like you would do it in your driveway. I'll have to ask the apartments tomorrow about if they recycle the water....hmmm...something to think about.
I just did research and on my counties page it says that apartment complexes are PROHIBITED from having carwashes operating as well as any kinds of waterfalls in their entrances which mine does. I notified our county of the violation, if they are using recycled water then the county won't write them a citation.

There may be a water recycling system in place, where the water is filtered and reused with the addition of a minimal amount of new water each wash. Many car washes have such systems, and people don't even realize it.

No, because a car wash business uses 80% less water than someone washing their car at home. The GA representives understand the difference and try to allow people to keep their cars clean.
