How many atheists have you seen, picketing for non-belief?
When out and about today, we saw a family (mom, 3 kids and dad) all carrying signs reading "GOD IS REAL" and bible verses and "BELIEVE IN GOD OR BURN" (this was held by the youngest of the children, probably 7 or so). It made us think... how many atheists or other non-believers have we seen carrying "GOD ISN'T REAL" or some other sentiment on a sign, trying to convert believers? Or carrying signs like "ATHEISTS HATE FAGS" or some such garbage? I don't know about you, but we've seen NONE of those... but plenty of believers carrying hateful signs to convert US to their way of thinking.
Just a pondering... how many atheists have you seen, picketing for non-belief?

You know, I was just out on another one of my door-to-door conversion trips when I saw...
Oh, wait: We don't do that, either!
But once, when we declared war on millions of people, I...
Dammit, that's not our gig.
Okay, but at yesterday's book burning I could have sworn--
Lying again: We don't burn books.
*Sighs, defeated* You win. I haven't seen any of us picketing for Atheism.

I'm very sorry to hear that you have stupid people with signs. Funny how some people think it is moral to teach their children that a god burns them for eternity if they disagree with a particular religious belief, eh? At least they are acting within the limits of our Constitution, instead of holding a pyre and flaming torch, as it might have been in former centuries. If I were to put a "there is no god" sign on my car, I can insure you that it would be keyed or vandalized.
I have not seen any "atheist evangelists" around town. In fact, I live in the same town as Liberty University, which preaches that the earth is 6,000 years old and that non-evangelicals are failures destined for hell. You should hear some of the broadcasts on the radio -- you'd think we were living in the sixteenth century, only with radio.
Most of the atheists I know are used to religious bigotry, so we take the stand of 'live and let live,' and debate freely. That doesn't mean I can't have fun in the process, but I don't force my views onto anyone.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen an atheist picketing for their non-beliefs. Maybe we could make "DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ!" or "ATHEISTS LOVE GAY PEOPLE!" signs but instead of picketing, just put them in our yards. I'm not about to be in-your-face about things like this.

Yeah right! Could you imagine what would happen to an atheist who tries to express his beliefs. The theists would be gathering in hordes with their torches and pitch forks, to kill the non-believer. I mean really, think about it. Theists would be in an uproar.

Zero.
Because picketing for non-belief is dogmatic. It`s like joining a club for people that are against clubs. The only thing worse than religon is anti-religon.

Some people always seem to make fools of themselves in an attempt to convert others.
When the Bible preaches peace they threaten you to listen or else. Any body else see the irony?
