Where Have I Gone Wrong (Hair Disaster)?
Im naturally fair (mousy blonde) but had died my hair brown last Christmas, since then Ive been letting it grow out so it had faded. I then yesterday wanted to dy eit back blonde so I bought a pre-lightner kit which said it would get rid of any old colour on my hair and lighten it ready for a blonde colour. I did this and my roots were white blonde and the rest of my hair a ginger colour?? I tried putting the natural blonde colour on and it didnt actually take at all. So I yet again bought another pre-lightner, put this on and it did again lighten my hair but its still a light ginger colour with blonde roots. I am gonna go on saturday and get this professionally sorted but any ideas where I went wrong or how I can salvage it to put me on until the weekend....and please dont say wear a hat! lol

Would suggest you not to apply any chemicals in your hair which will spoil your natural hair.
Better apply henna to get smooth & natural hair.
Thanks

oh dear, you should have done the length first then do the roots because you had started to grow it out your roots were lighter. I only found this out because i did the same thing. You could try and do it again your self BUT as you have done it twice already you may just end up with really bad hair if you have any left.Or you could get a dark blond semi-perm colour do the roots first end last leave roots for 20mins ends for about 5mins no longer coz your hair will be more porous now coz you have lightened it. I would get it sorted professionally if i were you.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Hi! I'm a natural blonde too and did the same thing actually twice! You are trying to go back to a color that is too light is what is happening. You need to go back to a color that is a shade darker than what your NATURAL color is. Be so careful, because you can fry your hair too. You want to get the permanent color, but go a shade or two darker than what your natural is. Get the Pantene leave in Conditioner and feed your hair to keep it healthy too.
I hope this helps since my experiment made me look like Carrot Tops Mistress!! UGH!!! :o)

It is very hard to get your blonde hair back once you have coloured it dark!!!
You prob shouldn't have used so much pre lightener and colour so quickly, but i would just wait til Sat and leta professional fix it, otherwise colour it with a natural light brown, and then let your hairdresser fix it.....

dxo that little poof thing with your hair no one will be able to tell until its fixed. also this may sound stupid, but u went wrong wen u decided to do it urself, c the diy boxes u get at the store, well u never no how they r gunna end up looking, since there not matched with the haircolor u have before its died. so u really should just stick to the salon
