what is "clotted cream fudge"? Is it edible?
My friend visited Edinburgh this past summer and brought back some clotted cream fudge. I'm wondering what it is.

the closest thing i can describe fudge is a soft type of toffee, its lovely! clotted cream is the local delicacy from Devon and Cornwall. (which is where I'm from!)
its a special treat to get clotted cream fudge and its delicious, however if your from the USA you may find it a bit sweet, because in the UK our chocolate and sweets contain a much higher amount of sugar and sweeteners!
Source(s): personal experience eat it fairly regularly! - 1 decade ago
It is a soft fudge (Very soft Toffee if your American ) that they make with clotted cream ( Very thick cream almost as thick as butter ) instead of the usual milk or cream. It is very creamy and yummy. ( Not good for your waistline! ) but most definitely edible!!!

Clotted cream is really good but really high in fat. I would imagine that they use that as one of the ingredients in the fudge. Sounds yummy.
