Windows to Winnt?
Is it possible to install XP Pro SP2 and use a WINNT directory instead of the default WINDOWS directory?

It's an answer that goes both ways, really.
If you're installing from the CD, it won't give you a choice on the name of the Windows folder. Sorry.
If you're using the installer from within a previous version of Windows (98/98SE, 2000 Pro, or ME), it should offer you the chance to change the folder it's installing into, or it overwrites the current Windows folder. (This definitely works with Windows 2000, but I'm not sure about Win9X).

When you install windows, one of the first items it asks for is where to you want to install it.
The default is C:\Windows.
You can change this to anything you want.
