Your Anti-Virus program should have contained it. Windows Defender is not that great.
Go to AVG and download their free 30 day trial of AVG7.5 Internet Security.
Install the program, get it's updates, then run a complete scan. It will locate your issue, and should resolve your problem. After your 30 day trial this will revert to their FREE Anti-Virus program which is far superior to Windows Defender.
Then I suggest visiting here and seeing what software you have is out of date or insecure. https://psi.secunia.com/

Um - don't go deleting stuff in the registry if you don't know what you're doing!
The number WILL be there - but it is difficult to find no doubt!
If you can use copy & paste to take the defined word from wherever you have got it from and paste it into the find tool in registry (ctrlF).
Better still though - use an online scanner such as Panda (www.pandasoftware.com) to scan your PC for you or one of the other virus checkers.
Is Windows Defender the only security software you are using? I'd strongly suggest something a bit more powerful - I think many people on here recommend AVG.

theres a simpler way of getting rid of a virus than what these are saying, there are 2 ways of getting rid of this trojan hourse virus.
use system restore which is in your all programs when you go to start and you can set it back to a time on the calender when you first didnt have it.
if this doesnt work theres one thing other you can do but i would recomend it unless you computer gets to its very worse
this is system recovery which you will find in your a all programs then go to accessories and then system tools and you will find it there, now using this you can store your computer back to the very beginning when you first got it, the consiquence of this is you will lose everything you have installed on it so if your going to use this try to save what you need to disk

The only way we were able to remove the trojan we had was to have our harddrive cleaned and restarted like having a new computer.

This is my detailed process -- starting with least drastic steps and ending with reinstalling and reformatting.
HINT; When you are absolutely sure about editing registry keys, you can disable them by adding an apostrophe ' (single quote) at the left end of the line.

Go to filehippo.com and download avg anti virus which is free run that once downloaded and it should solve it

Purchase Norton Antivirus 2007..
That will kill any types of viruses and scan your computer to find more.
FFR (for future reference): AVG cannot handle serious viruses.
