worldwide price of an egg?

Here in central rural Maine,U.S, I pay about [$.10] 10 cents U.S. I buy at local supermarket by the dozen.

If you know dollar equivalency for your currency, I'd appreciate the price in U.S dollars or I can figure the equivalent...somehow.

THANX!

Here in southern England, £1.28 in a local shop and only 97p in the tesco store, for half a dozen.

I bought a dozen yesterday for $12.50 pesos in Guadalajara, Mexico. I'm not sure exactly what the peso is at today, but probably about $10.50-$10.70 to the dollar. So that would come out to $1.19-$1.17USD for the dozen. They also sell eggs by the kilo here at the farmer's market, I'm sure they are a lot cheaper.
