Printer problem when printing from web?

My printer will always print an additional page containing only the bottom of the previous page printed. What's going on? How can I fix it? It seems to have some alignment problem. Is it the printer at all or some set-up I am not aware of? Please help.

Update:

Printer is a Lexmark Z816

and computer is DELL

This is because webpages are made to be read not printed.

It is completely normal for a straight print of a website to show up like that.

What you need to do is look at either the top or the bottom of the article you are trying to print for the "Printer-Friendly" version.

One of the easier things to do is just to select everything that you want to print and then print selection in your printer screen. File - Print - and when the screen pops up click on Selection in the Page range area. Most web pages are setup to have all of their content in tables so a straight print will print just about most things in a table on it's own sheet. Trying printing with a selection whenever you can.

When you print, you can specify what pages you want to print or you can select the "shrink to fit" option.
