Why are girls/teens Halloween costumes so revealing?

Isnt everyday dress up like a whore day in this culture? I mean, really.

well, I'm not gonna say that I NEVER dress "whore-ish" but I do have self respect, and my goal in life is not to dress like a whore every day, unlike many other girls. I dont understand the whole halloween thing either. At school girls idea of a costume is mouse ears, the SHORTEST skirt possible, with a low cut belly button top, OR a pink tutu with no leggings, and the tutu doesn't hide your ***, with some fairy wings. It's ridicoulous. I agree. It's not appealing, it's just embarrasing, and disrespecting yourself.

Easy as my friend has told me once before and I even heard it mentioned in that mean girls movie, halloween for teen girls and some women is known as the only "official" holiday out of the year where you can get away with being slutty and nobody will criticize you because nearly everyone is doing about the same thing as you are. I don't particularly go for it myself, but as I figure it, when costumes go from creative to actual s-l-u-t wear, then you know you are too old to be trick or treating. Best thing for you and your friend to do is pain each other's face's and take younger siblings or cousins around trick or treating or pass out candy. Because unless both of you can sew pretty well, you won't find any really decent costumes out there for ya.

I totally understand, I used to think that it was supposed to be for fun, and just dress up and have fun, but now they're changing it. I see some teenage girls on Halloween, they want to show off the most they want for whoever's watching. In my opinion, I think that there are other ways to get guys! But that's their way. It's stupid and pointless. But you're right about it. Try shopping at another store like Walmart or something, they have appropriate costumes. Good luck.

Little girls want to dress up like whores for the same reason that big girls want to dress up like whores. They shouldn't be allowed to, but there are a lot of bad parents out there.

you are sooo right! every year i have to add some sort of something to my costumes so i dont look like a whore, i think its just some excuse the whores came up with so that it would be "ok" to dress like a whore for one night

Now a days i can't seem to find a decent costume. Either the dress is really short or reveals too much. I really HATE it!
