Is this a contestable claim?

If I'm writing a thought paper on the part of a novel we've read in class so far, and I make a prediction about what will happen in the latter part of the novel, is that a contestable claim???

Someone who had read only up to where we are could contest it, but someone who had read the whole book would know the right answer one way or another, and wouldn't need to contest it.

So I'm thinking it's not, but wondered if you had other opinions. Thanks.

Update:

The assignment is basically "write a thought paper on one of the texts we've been reading in class, up to where we've read so far."

He wants it to be an analytical argumentative paper in which we make a contestable claim. That's about it.

Update 2:

I am NOT asking for anything besides "do you consider this a contestable claim: what I think is going to happen in the novel following from the passage my paper will be about. "

I don't want anybody's thoughts on my paper. I know it has to be in my words, and would never consider allowing someone else to write anything for me, or even give me ideas. That's not who I am.

I just want opinions on this question, exactly as I originally stated it. Thanks.

I am not sure what the requirements are for the assignment. Therefore I can only give advice from what know. By explainging what you have already read and what you believe will happen in the book that you are reading you are creating a contestable subject. Anyone in your class can contest what you believe is going to happen and of course anyone who has finished the book will know how close you are to the truth. Any time you use your opinion and judgement you can be contested. I wish I knew what the assignment was so that I could advise better. I hope I was atleast a help.

Email me your thoughts first on this subject and I will then see if I can add anything to it. I am making no promises.

This is an assignment that has to be in your words not mine since you are going to be graded on it.
