Creating a book?

I have what all my friends believe to be a great book idea! My problem now is how do I make it into a book rather than a one page summary!!! Please help me!

Separate your summary into chapters, and add some more details if you think that might help. At least write down this "summary" so you have something to look at. Plan it out.

If you don't need to do this, then just start writing. Introduce the characters or the plot in the first chapter. Then keep going. If you need to, study books from whatever genre it is you're writing, and pay attention to the way they're written so you can get an idea, if you need to, of how to write the story. I don't think there's much more to add.

yeah just so you know your original idea will change in the process but if it's good it's gonna sustain you in the long run.

i'll tell you how to: start by writing every day 3 to 5 pages just keeping in mind your summary. write whatever comes in mind. just write. write stuff about yourself that have something to do with your initial idea. ok, after one month or so, let that stuff alone for a few days, or week(s), and then read them again. from all the junk you will find the thread that will lead you to the next step.

if you need company email me. i'm writing too.

Try a book on writing. i like King's "On Writing" and Beinheart's "How to write a Mystery" even if you're not going to write a mystery. Get a writer's notebook and block out a few scenes you'd want to include. Maybe write some character bios. Then start by thinking up a great first line. Take it from there.
