What should I do with the empty nest?
My son moved out and now his bedroom is empty. I already have an office (computer, fax, printer, bookcase, globe, etc.) and my husband has a media room (home theater, stereo, surround sound, etc.). I don't want to leave it as an extra bedroom, that's just like asking relatives to come and stay with me! Any ideas for other things I can do with the empty bedroom?

Do you have any hobbies or interest? Do you exercise? What's the one thing in the world you've watned to do but didn't have the space? Think long and hard and don't forget to leave a space just for him just in case he comes back even if it's just a futon in the corner.

Make it into a craft/sewing/scrapbook/card-making room. If you do not know much about that kind of stuff, you can learn about it. Check the link for someone in UR area 2 do a stampin up Demonstration with U & UR friends. Many people are hooked on it!!

Why not just leave it as your son's room for when he comes for visits? Both my son and daughter have moved out and I have left their bedrooms as they were for them so that they know they are always welcome back when they need to come. And I have made it plain to relatives that they are my kids rooms and no one else it allowed to say in them. Over night guests get offered an air bed on the living room floor.

Make it a hobby room. If you don't have any hobbies, find one that will fill your new room!
