The new and improved Boston Celtics. Where do you think they'll end up in the east?

I say they'll be in the top spot in the east. Agree or Disagree and why?

The bench is non existant, Garnett has never won anything, Ray Allen is not even close to being the player he was 5 years ago, and Pierce is a whining ball hog who shoots too much. If Toronto continues to mature, they're not even going to win their division. They might finish 7 or 8 in the East.

Detroit, Cleveland, Washington, Toronto, Orlando, & Chicago are all younger and better top to bottom and Miami will be in the mix as well if Wade stays heathy.

I am not one who expects the big three to have trouble meshing, I like Rondo and Perkins as starters but I think that the team will be a little weak on the boards and on D and the bench though not terrible as some think it is still a little thin. I expect at least 46 or 47 wins not much over 50 and in the playoffs could struggle just to get out of the east and would be very lucky to get a match up they could handle in the finals. I like Toronto in the Atlantic with the upgraded roster and I expect Bosh to become one of the five or six best players in the league, also Kapono looks like much more than just a spot up shooter but a well rounded offensive threat, the Raptors are deep, young and are running a system that will put a lot of pressure on any team in the east.

It will take a year at least for that team to mesh. Figure they will make the playoffs, but the heat want it much, much more. Dont forget that while the celts got better, the Pistons, Bulls, and Cavaliers all were very solid last year. Dont go putting up that Celtic Pride poster yet. I will say 3rd in the east with the best record. Miami 1, Cavs 2, Det 4.

they should be on top. Im a huge ray allen fan and cant wait for the season to start.

...i think they'll be number one in the east because they have more then juss ray pierce and KG. So many people think its juss them 3, when its not. So i'd put them number 1. Theres no way they'll be lower then 3. I think the only team that'll give them competition is the pistons cuz there defense is really good.

They will make playoffs no doubt, but the big 3 need more then 1 season to build up the chemistry they need for a Championship. Besides Allen, Pierce, and Garnett are getting old they cant play all 48 minutes because there bench is not looking to good.

Wow a bunch of homers!!!!!!! You ppl actually think they're gonna end up on top with no supporting cast for the big 3? No they wont which would mean the big 3 will have to play a TON of minutes this season and that dont look too good with what happened to pierce and allen last season.....get a better bench and yea no doubt they'd even make it to the finals!!!!

Agree. They'll make it to the Conference Finals and either be beaten by the Bulls or Heat due to attrition and having no solid backups for the Big Three.

well I saw some preseason games from NBAtv and the chemistry of the team looks pretty good KG seems to be the force for the team talking wise, Ray Allen is quite as usuall but still hitting that dead range 3, while Pual dose his thing. they should make it the Eastern Conference Finals

disagree , no way they can top the pistons. see the pistons have a starting lineup AND a bench....sure the celtics have three all stars on there starting lineup....but their old and there is no supporting cast. i say the celtics make the 7th or 8th seed for the playoffs.

personally. i dont think the celtics will do as good as everyone says. all three players(allen, pierce, garnett) need the ball to do what they do and all three players cant have the ball at the same time. its all about new jersey this year
