British Telecom's Softphone: Anyone know what BTAgile.exe does?

Got an update to the BT Softphone about 6 months ago and found it had sneaked this BTAgile.exe into my Startup.

BT wont tell me what this foistware does, and a search on BT's website returns nothing while Google's hits are insufficient.

Anyone know what it does, or how to get my computer to tell me what it does?

I use Windows 2000 Pro.

Update:

PS BleepingComputer.com doesn't know what it does either. I'm already a member.

Not much help I'm afraid, I don't think it's dangerous even though it is an unsigned .exe file it may just be an auto update for the softphone - I uninstalled mine way back last year as I wasn't too keen on the third party server setup (a company in surrey).

Here is the best link that I could find - you may have already visited it as I see that you have posted this Q. elsewhere.

have a read of this. ctc

I have tried to dig deeper in this topic and have hit a brick wall like you, all that is being said is it could be spyware/malware? or an unknown company, I would jump on BT until they tell me. good luck ctc
