Definately! You can get a scholarship for just about anything if you know where to look. I'm being serious too, I saw one scholarship being offered online for people with some name like Warchztgarbegetzien.

First of all, if you are trying to get a scholarship to college music school, RELAX! Ninth grade is still very young (in fact, many voice teachers will not even take students younger than yourself), and besides, you will not even be considered for such a scholarship until you are in 12th grade.
What you can do now is 1) take voice lessons if you are not already taking them (if you need a teacher, go to www.teachlist.com , www.musicstaff.com , www.musicportal.com , www.musicaladvantage.com and www.privatelessons.com ); and 2) start asking yourself, what sort of music education do I want? Do I want to perform, and what sort of performing do I want to do? Do I want to teach? (I recommend getting a degree in teaching music, because your chance of making a living performing is quite small, but lots of teachers are getting hired). When you have answered that, start looking for schools. You may want to stay close to home, or go far away. Keep all that in mind. Good luck, and don't worry, you have all the time in the world!

I would regard online universities as the absolute last resort for someone seeking higher education. The quality of education these programs offer is minimal - there is simply no substitute for the kind of dynamic interactions and discussions that commonly occur in face-to-face college courses. Also, the quality of educator is significantly less at online universities - the best faculty choose to teach at real colleges and universities. Both the pay and work environments are far superior to online universities. So, for great classes from great instructors, go to a real college or university. Also, because of the minimal training they offer, employers and graduate institutions place little value in degrees earned from online programs. Many of these programs lack even basic accreditation for the degree programs they offer. Bottom line - you will receive little if any personal or professional benefit from online universities relative to what you could have received from a real college or university.
