From earlier question on pronouncing Irish?

I am looking for the pronunciation of this Irish word, but I forgot to mention it's Irish, how would you say it using english? Daibheid

    Daibhéid, the Irish name for David is pronounced Dav-aid. The 'bh' sound is like V and the accent on the 'é' makes that sound like the 'a' in the word 'aid'

    I would say "daw ved" - in IPA [davʲɛd]

    Standard Irish Gaelic doesn't have the "th" sound.
