I am 30 weeks pregnant and recently i haven't felt the baby move as strong as it used to, i did have a checkup on Wednesday and everything was fine but just wondering how common it is for movement to reduce at this stage of pregnancy

babys getting a bit squashed in there now so there isnt enough room for it to be doing big kicks...they say you should be able to count 10 movements a day..they dont have to be huge movements but if you feel something then you count that..if you dont feel at least 10 movements then maybe just get in touch with ur midwife or doctor and raise your concernes with them.

good luck and try not to stress xxxx

That's rather common unless you don't feel the baby move at all. The baby is running out of room to move in there so it can't move as freely as it used to. You should still feel movement and the kicks and punches will be stronger but this is totally normal at this stage in your pregnancy!! Make sure, however, that you take time everyday to lie down in a quiet room and count the baby's movements. If you don't feel a significant amount of movement (ask your doctor what is normal) in an hour get up, move around and drink some water then try again. If you still don't feel much or anything the second time call your doctor.

  • So long as you are feeling some movements everythign should be fine, as the baby grows there is less room to move, most women get very concerened when the frequency of movements slow down, but it's perfectly normal at ur stage of pregnancy

Because the baby is bigger, there is less room for him to move around. This is perfectly normal. Goo luck mom!
