Depending on the fish, for bass I always use a medium Mepps Minnow, I have the best results with this lure, no matter what the color preference is for the lake. I usually fish by over hanging trees or where logs are present, it is tricky, but worth the hassle. For Pike, I use the "Crackle Frog" paint spoon, that is a northern pikes killer. I usually wait in the water about three feet deep, they are notorious for hanging out on the drop offs in a lake. I don't fish must Muskie, or Walleye. I can give you some great pointers on river fishing for cat fish or pond fishing for blue gill. I love to fish all over Michigan, mostly inland though. I can tell you that one of my favorite places is Fletcher's Pond, Winter or Summer, that place is a real good time. Good Luck

I like to jig near the bottom for walleye. . .and sometimes get a surprise smallmouth or even a largemouth .

I use a jig head of the proper weight for current conditions and attach a minnow to the end . Occassionally I'll put a bobber on and fish only a few feet below the surface for the bass and northerns .

Not much for muskies around here , but I used to live in the 'Musky Capitol of the World' / Hayward, Wi.

R W might be onto something. To be honest, I've never done really well in Michigan (southeast) in the fall.

Probably the best bet would be something that resembles a fish, like a RatLTrap or Rapala plug or something.

the suited bass entice is something medium sized, green, with speckles on it. you will possibly desire to retrieve it at 30-40 turns according to minute. For pike and musky, bypass with a backside diver, super sized, ideally something vivid. Retrieve this slowly as whilst it gets less warm, the fish get slower! Tight strains!
