How long does it take to change an idler arm on a 99 GMC Jimmy?

I have a 99 GMC Jimmy, does anybody know a general time of swapping out and idler arm if done at a garage by a mechanic?

About 1 hour. This idler arm is adjustable, so make sure that they bolt it back exactly where they removed it. You should have an alignment afterwards.

Well then you haven't seen everything now have you?

If you just loosen up the 2 nuts that secure the idler to the frame you then can grab the idler arm and physically move it up and down about 2 inches. Don't listen to all the know it alls.

examine your steerage stabilizer ask your self, unbolt one end and be certain it has resistance, my 2005 became doing an identical element, i became greasing the loafer each couple weeks and that i saved donning them out, Even the alignment shop ignored that one yet if you consider that I replaced the steerage ask your self I even have been on an identical loafer arm.
