3 AnswersOther - Health10 years agoObama says this Healthcare Bill will make healthcare more affordable for 'every american worker?'?
can somebody fill me in on the sideways thinking on this yahoo article relating to healthcare and making things better in america? i suppose outsourcing more jobs helps add american citizens to the handout line for federal spending.

along with this, nationalizing of student loans, which will take something like 40 billion out of the market, is good for the economy as well? (mentioned here, but not figures)

and Kathleen Sebelius saying that over the lifetime of the healthcare bill, big pharma are going to lose about 90 billion in profits, what good will that do to create or save jobs in the healthcare field?
after a time, it leaves the question to be asked, if you were trying to destroy america, what would you do?

was this something that changed with the removing of the gold standard? the old 20 is from 1934 and the other one is still the old style, but a newer printing.
This is more of a curiosity question, and i wasnt sure where to post it otherwise!
any info would be fantastic, sources would be even better so i can find out other things later if they come up.
Thanks!
2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoSetting a cap on salaries, specific at first?
"President Barack Obama is imposing a $500,000 pay cap on some senior executives whose firms receive government financial rescue money.
Obama said the lavish bonuses for some Wall Street executives was "shameful." The president described the new restrictions Wednesday..."
I understand the theory behind it, but where will it stop? first its people taking government money, but then when the taxes stop coming in from these high salaries, where does it go next?
will the administration than say the stocks they bought to give companies capital, then they sell the stocks to regain the money, the company tanks. or they start imposing a tax on the people who own stock in the companies?
I see this as just another beginning to the end, where will it stop?
5 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoDissent is Patriotic?
Can somebody clue me in? Why was it alright for the democrats to be 'Patriotic' when Bush was in office by talking down anything he did, but now that Obama is in office, the republicans are being 'bipartisan' when they go against what Obama wants?

Is it just me, or the same governing body that thinks we cant drill our way out of an oil crisis, ruined social security, wants to run the medical insurance industry, collects your taxes, and tells you how long you have to wait until you can get a firearm should have NOTHING to do with this industry either?

this is mostly a generic question for people who have beat assassins creed already for the ps3, about how many hours of gameplay does it have? i got the 70 dollar one that came with the extra dvd of features and the action figure thing.
either way, just in having purchased it, i was wondering if the hours in gameplay was worth the purchase price.
about how many are there total in gameplay?

4 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks1 decade agogas tanks on 1999 gmc jimmy?
i have a haynes manual for a 1999 gmc jimmy and i can do most basic car work myself, most of the time without a manual. after reading the steps to remove a gas tank, it seems relatively straight forward. its only listing 12 steps, from anyone out there with experience in doing this, is it as easy as it looks, basicially just remove and install, not too much besides that, no magical tricks or little things to know, its just swap out.
any info is helpful, thanks!

When I turn the ignition, something clicks a bunch of times, I'm assuming that's the starter. It's not the battery because there's enough auxilary(sp) to run the stereo, interior lights, and gauge cluster. Could it be the starter, cylinoid, or maybe I seized the block? Any ideas to what might be wrong would be helpful.

I'm not sure which catagory this goes in, so I'll probably put it under politics since its more that way, but here's my question.
If I convert to Islam, then use my new found religion to declare fatwah on something such as political correctness, I get a bunch of fanatical followers who explode themselves every time they hear an instance of political correctness, where do you think it would get me?
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agorunning 32 bit apps on a 64 bit processor?
ok, call this a noob question, but im just starting to get back into the tech stuff after being out of it for a while. i just found out today that nobody makes agp video cards anymore, an di was kind of dissapointed.
anyway, for the people more versed in this 32 to 64 bit revolution, what kind of experience should i encounter running a 32 bit program on a straight 64 bit processor?
not taking into account the dual core stuff, if i built a tower thats straight 64 bit processor and run a non 64 bit software application like normal windows xp or linux, what will i be in for?
will it run at all, any lagging, or wont i notice much of a difference at all? any and all details are helpful!
