I bet it starts hard and has a tendency to flood!
You should check the fuel pressure. If it come up but drops right off then you need to replace the fuel feed lined under the plenum.

If you have not spilled any gas, then you have a fuel leak which is very dangerous. If you do not see any fuel leaking, go to a parts store and buy some fuel dye. Add it to your tank start the engine then shut it off. You will need a black light to see the dye, where ever the dye is, is where your leak is at.

it could be your carbon canister. It's what holds gasoline fumes until it can be used by the engine under acceleration. There could be a hole in the canister. Also you might want to check under your vehicle to see if you could be leaking gasoline from a gas line.
