Does anyone here have wheat allergies? Or know someone who does?
What are the symptoms? Can it be cured? Is there anything you can do at home to relieve it?
Thanks for any information.

I have a severe wheat allergy. My symptoms are bloating, eczema, and fatigue. However, every individual reacts differently.
Symptoms of a wheat allergy or wheat intolerance (not exhaustive by any means):
* Bloated stomach
* Depression or mood swings
* Diarrhoea
* Eczema
* Feeling dizzy or faint
* Nausea or vomiting
* Palpitations
* Skin rashes
* Sneezing
* Suspected irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)/similar effects
* Swollen throat or tongue
* Tiredness and lethargy
* Unexplained cough
* Unexplained runny nose
* Watery or itchy eyes
Unfortunately there is no cure. You need to avoid it. This can be tricky because there are many names for wheat so you have to learn to read ingredient labels.

Yes. I am allergic to wheat. As well as everything else. My throat swells up when I eat it. My allergy is at a "2", and it's bad enough.
You will also get a strange sensation on the roof of your mouth, and your tongue will start to tingle, and throat itch.
Home remedies: Brushing your teeth and tongue, gargling, and swishing your mouth and throat with salt water.
Drink plenty of water, or take benadryl chewable tablets at the first onset of symptoms.
Or simply avoid it. I have 30 pages worth of food that I need to avoid, there is no cure. Some people have it go away after a few years, while others remain. I have had mine for 4 years. I can't touch a crumb.
The only way to tell is by having a blood test, to see which level of allergy you are at. The go by a number system. 2 is bad. 1 is tolerable...but may make you itch.

i know someone with a wheat intollerence.
symtoms of an allergy can differ alot things such as: a rash or itching, swelling, itchy eyes, just feeling generally ill or vommiting.
you could try going to the doctor for anti-hystamines but they may just tell you its best to avoid it all together.
it cant be cure but you really need to got to your gp if it hasnt been properly diagnosed yet. it could be an allergy to something else instead.
