The BCS Is a complete Joke!?

I am blown away by this

OSU #1 and they are in the Big 10 with a down year. and who have the beaten? Akron? Youngstown State? Kent State? Not very impressive.

Any team in the big east shouldn't be ranked in the top 5 they are in the second weakest conference in the nation. Oregon moves ahead of Cal because of a loss, but didn't cal beat them? Arizona State jumps from 20 something in every poll to a top 10 spot.

USC falls more spots after they win a game. LSU loses but they stay ahead of the team that beats them? Even though the team that beat Kentucky moved ahead of them. WHy isn't South Carolina ranked higher?

Didn't Oklahoma lose to a unranked opponent just like USC? Why does Oklahoma rise after a win while USC falls? THese polls are horrible!

This season alone is screaming playoff system like I have never seen before.

Update:

I mean kansas are for real?

That is a lot of questions. First of all, the BSC poll just came out for the first time all season yesterday, so I don't know how you can say team should not have risen/fallen. I would love to see a playoff system, but you do have to remember that these are students, and the time they have off between the season and the bowl games is usually finals time. I know there are some people that don't care about school because they are going to play football professionally, but most college football players end up doing something else in life.

As far as your questions, OSU has not had a very hard schedule, but they are undefeated and have either the first or second best defense in the nation with LSU being the other. Oregon moves ahead of Cal because Oregon lost to a good team in Cal, but Cal lost to a weaker team. If you think Kentucky is a better team than LSU and should be ranked higher, you are crazy. LSU had one bad game. Oklahoma lost to Colorado, not Stanford.

The system is not perfect, but this is how it is and always has been. If you don't like it, don't pay attention.

Well, OU lost early, that always helps, but OU rebounded against Texas and Mizzou, both ranked and at times formiddable. USC, however, has struggled against Washington and Arizona, the basement of the Pac-10. Howevere, I agree about the polls. The current unbeaten teams would be mopped up by LSU, Florida, OU, Cal, maybe even USC. I guess it's just that a voter putting a 1-2 loss team in front of an unbeaten would look foolish.

nicely...USF is quantity 2 interior the polls, and BC is quantity 3. i do no longer see the huge deal. Michigan is mountaineering their earlier into the actual 25 besides. The BCS became into created to offer communities like USF an equivalent danger. I mean, they're already ranked the place they're in the different polls. Why is this one in all those vast deal?

hey all, this system is better than any system that D1 has had ever. I'm sorry, but the bowls are not going away anytime soon and to the person who said that OSU's chancellor killed a playoff? OSU doesn't have a chancellor. It was a group of college presidents that voted to keep the BCS format going, including those in each conference. Yes that includes the SEC which started the BCS and whose head is from a SEC school.

who is your team, are you just crying about it because your team isn't ranked as high.

Buckeyes beat Washington by the way by way more than USC did, granted their schedule isn't that strong, Illinois has been good, Wisconsin is decent and Michigan is back in the top 25, they have to play all 3 of them at then end.

I agree about the playoff system, but stop being a crybaby

Because Colorado is a helluva lot better than Stanford and OU just beat undefeated Mizzou. USC has looked awful in several games this year. I can't believe LSU is ranked higher after just losing while OU just beat one of the best teams in the country. It is the computer part of the BCS poll that is screwing things up. The Harris poll is the best.

to those of you saying oklahoma is better than lsu you are idiots. your argument is oklahoma just beat an over-rated missourri team.. ok well lsu has beat Florida/South Carolina and V-tech(yes over-rated but still as good as missourri) Florida irregardless of their regard is easily a top 5 team. LSU lost to Kentucky in 3 overtimes at kentucky while oklahoma lost to colorado. how are you even arguing this.. btw im a florida fan not an lsu fan

The BCS has ALWAYS been a joke. The AP had enough of the crapola and bailed out last year. But guess which school chancellor killed any and all hopes of a playoff format.....

Thats right the so called #1 team in the nation OSU!

    whatever......

Agreed. If they are going to keep the voting system, they need voters who dont have a self interest in teams.

Its like having family members on the jury.
