i don't think there is a limit to how many times you can fall in love. but right now I am going through the same thing, i loved someone SO much and I just don't know if i could go through the pain of being hurt again. take it slow make sure you really get to know eachother before you start any major plans

Yes you can fall in love twice. Look at how many widows and widowers who move on with their life after losing their life time partners. They don't lose the love they had for those that went before them. As for the new love in their life, they love them in a different way. For example: Perhaps they share a lose there for understanding one another feelings. Then there are those that are divorced from a marriage that went sour. They may think they lost the love for their first partner. But in reality they have not. They have good memories from before the marriage went bad that they will always cherish in their heart. But knowing this love cannot be, they turn to some one who is comforting, understanding, and has more in common then the first love of their life. There are so many different ways to love. It is impossible to not fall in love again. Unless you choose not too. The secret to a successful second love.... DO NOT compare the second with the last for they are not the same.

Of Course! If you feel that way about someone then of course you can fall in love 2. If you were hurt the first time you thought you were in love then maybe you weren't actually in love. I believe you could fall in love as many times as your heart can take it. There's probably a different threshold for everyone because you can only get hurt so many times before you start closing yourself up to new love because of fear of getting hurt. So I don't think the phrase is true but I think there is a limit.

Well like you I have felt this way too. I was with the father of my children for 7 yrs. He was a great man but he was a liar and I was not. So there for we went our diff ways. About 8 months later I met this wonderful guy. And the way i felt about him was so different then the way I felt about my ex. It got confusing to say the least. But I soon realized that they way I had fallen in love with my ex was a totally differnet way I felt about this man. Needless to say its worked out and we have been together for almost 2 yrs and are engaged to be married. So there is love after Love.. you just have to be open enough and follow your heart .. even as Dr.Phil it may sound its true. You heart knows what it wants. Sometimes its not forever but If you have felt this way before then you know what you are feeling. Seek it out.. i hope this helps good luck *hugz*
