Whose afraid of the Dark??? And why?

I don't know why but I still am. Not all the time or everywhere but most of the time. I mean, I can be in the dark in my room but outside... I don't know it's irrational but I always fear that something bad will happen to me. If I'm with company then my fear generally disappears. I suppose somebody else's presence reassures me.

I'm not at all afraid. I feel like the darkness is like a big soft blanket. It reminds me of being tucked in at night, of wanting things so dark that we can see the Milky Way in the sky. It's protection. Yes, things are intensified, and I think that makes everything more interesting. Try to listen for tiny things, like crickets. Try to see tiny dots of light, like a warm window across the street.

It's not the dark that most are afraid of, but the things that might be in the darkness. And no, I'm not scared of the dark.

i'm only afraid of the dark when i'm by myself and i'm outside and there's like no streetlights. i agree that it's because i can't see what's going on around me.

I love the dark. It's cosy! I don't mind being alone, either.
