Which situation is worst? (hypothetical situations)?

1) You're a loner without friends or family and no one reaches out to you or notices you. You've faced alot of rejection and you know you're alone. And let's say (remember this is a hypothetical situation so I can add this piece to the story) you know that you're destined to be alone for the rest of your life.

2) You're a loner without friends or family and no one reaches out to you or notices you. You live your life normally except at home you have delusions; and you see and talk with a spouse and friends at home. Your spouse and friends aren't real but rather delusions (ie. A Beautiful Mind). However they make you feel like you feel like you're not alone and have loving relationships.

Update:

Hazelnut the hypothetical nature of this question means there is confines in what can actually happen. Because the hypothetical situation dictates that the person will forever be alone, it would be just contradictory to say the person can make themself notice and circumvent the lonely situation that is concrete and destined.

It would depend on whether having friends or family would be important or not. If I were a person who preferred solitude, I would pick number one. If I were a person who needed companionship to feel happy, I would pick two.

I would rather live in the same neighborhood as the guy with the illusion. He or she is still a nut, but the person in #1 seems a lot more likely to go postal.

1 is harder, much harder. But real and maybe satisfying in a certain kind of way.

2 is easier, maybe. But worse in the long run, because it's not authentic.

Reminds me of a wild book, The Sybyl, by a Pars Lagerkvist. Two people cursed by god in different ways. They meet and dark philosophy ensues.

Many are skeptical about this science but they shouldn't. Numerology can really help you in many phases of your life. This is a good site where you can request a personalized report for free --> http://www.downloadita.it/r/rd.asp?gid=420

Tough one... It's rather a question of "Can you really handle the truth?" I'd have to say 2... so long as the delusions don't elevate.

    2 is far worse.

I'd far rather be lonely than delusional and insane.

Besides... being alone is not all that bad. If I had my books and was financially secure it wouldn't be that bad a deal.

I believe 2 is worse because you are not in with reality. Sure, with number 1 you are aware of your destiny, but do you accept it or reject it? you should have stated that in your hypothetical :)

I would say the worst situation would be to have your life... you seem like a total loser who jerks off waaaaaay too much!!

I'd just go off myself right now if I were you!

Well I guess i would rather have delusions but, Instead of sitting there watching people not notice you, make yourself noticed. (hypothetically speaking)
