what do you think about stephen colbert running for president?

I may vote for him

of course he is a comedian and satirist but you can not be successful on those fields without have a complete grasp of the subjects and people you are making fun of.

Stephen colbert is very very intelligent and I htink he would actually be quite good if he seriously chose to.

Remember enough people voted for a hollywoood actor who did very little except looked good doingit and let the people around him do the actual work so nothing is impossible.

He said several times that he wants to only run in South Carolina. So even if he gets a party to sponser him and even if by some miracle he wins the South Carolina primary (which really isin't out of the realm of possibility) Without doing the primarys for the other 49 states means he would have no chance. But he is a Democrat that poses as a Republican on a show. If he'll actully go through with it then he will most likely be an independent. On a personal note: I love Stephen Colbert.

you are too young to know but for years in the 70's another comedian named Pat Paulsen ran each time to make his social criticism public (and keep his name in the public eye). everybody in usa knew about Pat. he is just being copied. Colbert needs this publicity is show will dwindle away eventually. The novelty of his show is dwindling. He is funny, clever and all that but he needs a new venue. One trick pony.

it fairly is a humorous tale. you ought to collect signatures and document with the election fee in each and each state to run. Technically you ought to run in only one state yet you ought to no longer become president that way.
