Do whitetail deer hunters cut the butthole out of the deer they kill in the field and wear it as a ring?

Normal field dressing does require you to cut around the rectum, but I've never heard about wearing a butthole ring, and frankly, I wish I never had.

sure which will kill a whitetail without difficulty, as long as your shot placement is in an important section. many human beings right here in WV hunt with 308's. I hunt with a 30-06 and use a one hundred fifty grain Nosler Ballistic Tip (polymer tip) for my looking rounds. I reload my own ammo. The ammo you defined i would not have a difficulty employing. very just about any ammo will harvest a deer, the base line is shot placement.

Jeeze Louise!!! Not in Texas! That must some kind of barbaric Yankee tradition. We Texans leave the butt hole attached to the gut and it all goes into the gut pile. I've never even thought of wearing a butt hole for a ring....... Oh, I've hunted with a couple of butt holes but I've never worn a butt hole for a ring. Man that's one strange tradition. But on the positive side, it will keep you from biting your finger nail on that finger. Whatever you decide, have fun.

Only odd tradition that I've seen is hanging the nuts of a buck in the nearest tree after field dressing it.

Yes, that is a tradition, you should have 1 ring on each hand, and leave the rings on your hands the whole hunting season for good luck.... every time you go out to hunt kiss your rings for good luck!!
