Do you like this new trend seven U.S. citizens were arrested for harboring hiring encouraging illegal aliens?

Federal agents make more arrests Wednesday at a Barry County poultry processing plant just 6 months after a large illegal immigrant raid.

This time, seven U.S. citizens were arrested for harboring, hiring and encouraging illegal aliens to stay in the United States. Supervisors, managers and human resource employees involved in hiring at George's plant in Butterfield face federal charges.

136 illegal immigrants from Mexico and Guatemala were arrested at the Barry County Poultry plant back in May. Springfield ICE Investigator Michael Spinella says, "Thirty people returned to their home countries others are awaiting immigration court dates."

Now officials think the illegal aliens had some help from supervisors, managers and human resources. U.S. Western District Attorney John F. Wood says, "They aided in using the names of us citizens so they could work at George’s."

The seven employees arrested today face federal charges for harboring, hiring and encouraging illegal aliens to stay in the U.S. Agents say four of those employees helped illegal aliens steal other people's identities. Wood says, "No one is above the law regardless if you are employers or employees."

Officials say prosecuting employers is a top priority to crack down on illegal immigration. Wood says, "We do think it’s a problem, that's why we're devoting lots of resources to it." Officials say large plants aren't the only problem.

In Missouri, they've busted small siding companies, phone book distributors, and restaurants so far this year. Woods says, "Our message should be loud and clear you have to follow the law.”

The employees could spend up to 10 years in jail and get hit with a $250,000 fine for both the harboring and encouraging charges. The identity theft charge adds an additional two year prison sentence.

If you're asking if I approve of the fines and the deportations that result from this bust, yes I do. I feel anyone who harbors an Illegal should be jailed and any illegals should be deported. Maybe when we deport them we should place an ID chip in them so that we can recognize the illegals that return quickly. Then they can do Ag. work as prisoners. That would be good.

Absolutely, if the federal government won't clean up the mess it created states have to. But until the border is secured we can arrest until we are blue in the face and they will just keep coming to the tune of about 4,000 per night so a few hundred get kicked out and are replaced by a few thousand.

Absofrigginlutely. Home Depot, a notorious employer of illegals, has finally been given this message. It will sure help out the taxpayers, who foot the bill when illegals sue, collect disability, etc. It will also require these companies to pay higher wages to legals. The bottom line is that these employers are breaking the law, pure and simple.

Something is working. All the illegals are gone from my town. White and black guys are mowing grass and picking up garbage. They are even doing construction and roofing. The water works, the power is still on and the grocery stores have food.

I cannot believe we are surviving.

Open your eyes. We don't need illegals.

I think it's great. If no one will hire them, then illegals will have no reason to come.
