what's a fundie?

Christian fundamentalists, basically; "fundie" is considered a bit derogatory by some. They tend to be fairly legalistic and given to blanket condemnation of those who don't see things exactly as they do. Taken to extremes, they can be fanatics and bigots, but that certainly doesn't apply to all.

People that actually think that Noah really did gather 2 of every animal on the planet onto a little boat, as well as all their food, with only 8 people to care for them for 40 days and nights. In other words, people that think the bible is 100% true, no matter how stupid it is.

They generally have a very rigid view of the Bible and nature... they take the Bible very literally and often deny science, physics, and known history in order to keep believing ancient ideas.

Some one who takes the bible literally.

Fundamentalist. Generaly a Christian fundamentalist with ties to Calvinism and very judgmental, unloving demeanors to other denominations and faith systems.

It is a person who follows the word of God - the Bible and not man-made traditions. We take what the Bible says literally.

People like me who believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again, and that this is the only way into heaven and out of eternal hell, and that the Bible is the Word of God and is 100% true.
