May be time to look for another job already...?

I started with my current employer late August of this year. I haven't yet completed my 90-day probationary period and the guy that is supposed to train me just quit. I think they were planning to get rid of him for a while. Now, I haven't been adequately trained and they expect me to jump right in and take over. I just left a very stressful job and I was counting on having a less stressful job. Do you think I should start looking for another job or try to stick it out?

try to stick it out but don't do so passively.

First ask yourself if they guy (in your limited opinion) deserved to be fired...if not, then question if this is a company where you would like to work....

    in the meantime,

GO to the guy that fired your trainer and ask him if there is anyone else that can take over training you.

Tell him you like your job but there are still a few more things that you need to learn before you can jump in and do a great job for this company.

His reply will dictate your next move

    HAng in there

It's too soon to leave. Stick to it and see how things develop. If at any point you feel overwhelmed speak to management and ask for support.

If you can pull it off, you've started on the road of having a reputation as someone who get things fixed...

Stick it out. Lookign for another job will give you just as much stress as this job will. So if you like the other people, like the work, etc. Stick it out.

If you feel you could do the job stay. Also you many be in for a raise. This is getting one person doing the job of two.

Source(s): I was hired to split the work with another. Then he left. They wanted me to do all the work for the same pay. Iasked for a very large raise and got it.
