Because nobody makes a profit by restricting sex offenders. When a hard-goods or even labor is made illegal its value goes up. Corps make a bigger profit. MILLIONS of Americans use illegal drugs in any given month. Imagine that in terms of weight. Theres no way that much stuff gets in without some high levels of involvement. Ironically victims of rape and molestation are more likely to use drugs. Just my take on things....

Why is Manson in prison for Life then? He didn't PHYSICALLY kill anyone. That is about how "non-violent" a drug dealer is. Oh and more time then Murders? You realize that MURDER is an actual crime. You can't go by HOMICIDE, which includes Murder, Manslaughter and other crimes. So most MURDERS are in prison FOR LIFE. I know in PA First Degree murder is a mandatory minimum Life Without Parole, and I believe they punish Second Degree the same way. Maybe you are thinking of people who got convicted of Manslaughter or some form of Vehicular Homicide, which are totally different crimes. Now Sex Offenders should be in jail longer I agree.

I agree with you, i wonder the same thing myself, you see a lot of child molesters, staying in prison for a little period of time, and they go back out and do the same thing again, if you ask me, i think that child molester should stay in longer, preferably for life, druggies, well they go out, and 85% of them sell drugs or do drugs again, so its pretty much the same.

Do you know how many lives, and families have been ruined by drugs? Not just the person taking the drugs, but children, wives, husbands? Not everything is cut an dry like you want it to seem.

I don't know that they do, but I consider it appropriate. Sex offenders or murderers attack only a few people; drugs cause an entire community to rot.
