What will the spread be for the Patriots vs Colts game?

Pats by 9.5? or is that to disrespectful to the superbowl champs not that odds makers really care.

Second part......will the Pats cover the spread?

Whatever it is, if it favors the pats (since everyone is in awe of them running up the score on pop warner teams) take the colts. The Colts are a complete team that has faced better competition and their defense is young and fast and hits hard. Don't forget the colts have the top pass defense in the league, the pats haven't faced a solid one yet. They play tampa 2 and don't give up big plays, also they'll be laying the wood if moss tries to jump above them to make a catch.

The pats D on the other hand, has about half its starters collecting social security and they wont be able to cover the colt receivers especially Clark matched up against the LBs or Safeties.

On the offensive side you have Brady,Moss, Stallworth, Welker, Watson, Maroney? vs. Manning, Harrison, Wayne, Clark, Gonzales, Addai. I would take the colts package in a heartbeat. Just because Indy is controlling the clock, giving their D rest and running the ball doesn't mean they can't explode. They just have class and run or kneel when the game is decided.

If the colts can put up 29 on the jags which they could have easily made worse, they can put up points at will against the pats as the Jags are a much better defense. some may argue that but by the end of the season it will be very clear.

Add to all that, this will be played in the dome one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL which is at its loudest when the pats come to town. Also indy is on a 13 game home winning streak.

Cooooommmeee ooooonnn man. To tell u the truth brotha, its too hard to go 16-0 for any team. I give them respect for their talent and they do have the potential to win the superbowl, but 16-0 is almost impossible. If that's not to happen, then the team best to beat them is the Colts. Stop hating the Colts man. I know you wouldn't rather be beaten by Washington or someone under the Colts. I say the Colts win, and its fine to them if u don't pay attention to them with the media. They love no pressure and they prove it on the field. Plus, the only okay team the Patriots played were the Cowboys, but they're sooooo overrated man. Its okay if the Pats lose, cause i betcha the Colts will eventually lose too. By the way Sheklika, the Colts hammered the Jags. 29-7! A great fact for the Colts hatas. Their defense don't suck, Rushing: Saints- 38 yards to Bush, Titans- 64 yards to White, Texans- 15 yards to Cook, Broncos- Exception 131 yards to Henry but that's one game, Bucs- 11 yards to Graham, and the Jags- 55 yards to both Taylor and Jones-Drew. They're having a run stop frenzy.

No matter what the spread is, the Pats will beat it. I'm guessing 7 1/2. Pats win by...17-20.

Remember that the Jags are a very good team. It will depend on what happens tonight. If the Colts hammer them will they say that the Colts have played someone whereas the Patriots have not (Cowboys? Get real ! )? What if the Colts lose? It would be hard to mention them in the same breath with the Patriots. We'll know better tomorrow.

Well since the game is in Indy it will probably be no more than 2 or 3 points either way. And there is no way it will be pats by 9.5.

  • 1 decade ago

The spread will probably favor the Pats, which means that anyone who bets on the Colts is going to win money.

Of course, alot could change between now and then. Either team could lose, but I predict that the Colts will win by at least seven points.
