Dog name Question....?

We already have a boxer named Cooper and we are adopting a Boston Terrier on Friday. He has been abused and neglected. He is only 3 y/o but looks 6-7.. We are thinking of naming him Mini Cooper (since a boston terrier looks like a mini boxer) and calling him MC. Just wondering what everyone thinks of that.. I am also up for other names I just cant think of any good ones..

There are a couple of sites listed in my article about naming your new puppy, as well as ideas for choosing names. I like the car-theme idea.

    Harleigh,

Mini Cooper sounds like a car, but MC would be ok. Myself I wouldn't name a dog with initials especially this one. Those initials are the same ones that a former Ohio State player has and is now in jail. He is a total idiot, but you wouldn't care about that. We have 2 dogs, and they both have the same name as 2 other dogs we had. So Shadow is Shadow Buckeye 2, and Scarlet is Scarlet Grey 2. I just couldn't name Scarlet anything else. She was the spitting image of our Scarlet who died when she was 3. It was horrible, and I just had to have my Scarlet. We got Scarlet 2 when she was 9 weeks old and it was like she was reincarnated. I can't say now she is just like her. She has a total different personality, but still looks like her except her ears perk up, even though they weren't clipped. Is your Boston Terrier black and white?

I admire you for adopting, especially for adopting an abused dog. I did the same twice now. I wouldn't really recommend naming him after your other pet though to be honest. Maybe Cooper will pass and you will be sad and little MC will remind you of him, not sure if that would happen or not, but still seems kind of wierd to me. Mine are named Chewy and Koro, Koro is a common Japanese dog name kind of like Fido or Spot would be here in the states. Plus it sounds cool KORO!!! Hahaha.

Its cute, but maybe you could try calling him Motor. Or maybe Copper, Oxford, or Rover. I know it sounds wierd but Oxford is the place that the Mini Cooper is assembled, and Rover is what the mini Cooper has replaced in the automobile world.

Or maybe you could call him Mini Me and shorten it to Mini. That way when you call your dogs you can yell "Mini, Cooper!!!!!" I think thats cute!

But anyway, good luck with your rescue and thanks for helping a furry friend.

Mini Cooper, that's not very original.. You should name him Craven Moorehead, after the guy who founded the Boston Terrier..

Oh, I just love the name Phil for a dog. You know, after Phil McCracken, the guy that invented the spiked dog collar!! Oh, that Phil McCracken and his spikes! He was a hoot!!!

that's kind of cute, reminds me of the car mini coupe. You could also name him something else like bowser or something that goes with his coloring. Up to you.
