Hey man, let's see... i am a freshman that plays varsity linebacker and 3rd string runningback and most of my friends that are DB's are easily around 150 to 215... really depends on ur height like say ur anywhere from5'7 to 6 foot then u should atleast be up to 165 at the least if u want to go anywear in football. I just moved down to Mississippi and they got some big guys. I myslef play Will linebacker (inside linebacker) and i am 6 foot and 1/2 and only wiegh 177... I personallyy need to gain atleast 30 pounds of muscle over the off season.. but DB's need to be big , but fast so i would say for a JV player be anywhere from 160 to 200.... The only thing you really need, that i believe is giving your best and play from your heart. Good luck with football

Yes, I highly encourage you to join your high school junior varsity football team next season. Based on your height and weight, I believe that you will make a very good fit at defensive end. Considering your age, your size gives you the potential to become an elite high school defensive end. My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this (and every) offseason is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your chances of becoming a successful, top notch defensive end in high school football, who could go on to play college football in the future.
