According to certain Biblical Schloars, October 23, 4004 B.C. is the day that the Earth was created which would make Earth a total of 6011 years old. How many of you actually believe this?
Based on an intricate correlation of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean histories and Holy writ, it was incorporated into an authorized version of the Bible printed in 1701, and thus came to be regarded with almost as much unquestioning reverence as the Bible itself. Having established the first day of creation as Sunday 23 October 4004 BC, by the arguments set forth in the passage below, Ussher calculated the dates of other biblical events, for example, that Adam and Eve were driven from Paradise on Monday 10 November 4004 BC, and that the ark touched down on Mt Ararat on 5 May 2348 BC `on a Wednesday.

The Biblical calendar doesn't line up exactly with the calendar we currently use. It is believed that Tishri 1 which is in the fall was the first day of creation.(this year it fell in Sept) It would have been on "Sunday" since that is the first day of the week and G-D rested on the seventh. The current Jewish year is 5768 but there are an unknown number of years missing (200-250 estimated)due to the Babylonian captivity so we should be somewhere close to the year 6000 from creation.

Well Im not sure but he is definately close . Yes I believe the earth is only about 6000 years old, about 4000 years ago there was a flood, about 2000 years ago Christ came the first time and he is due to return for his 1000 year reign any day now. Even so come Lord Jesus!

Actually, the great Flying Spaghetti Monster created the Earth. He was pretty drunk when he did it too...hence all the poor designing. But he is always watching us and always touching us with his noodly appendage. RAmen!
