Why do some people have a problem with things beyond logical understanding?

For me, I've always seen beauty and wonder in an unsolved mystery. There are so many things in life that have never been answered, despite the vast years of mankind's existence.

Have you not noticed, that in art and literature, images and characters with an air of mystery are often looked upon with wonder, and have a strong sense of depth to them?

Despite the attempts of historians, nobody can truly depict what life was like before. Like a person can never create a perfect duplicate of something found in memory. So what proof does anyone have that they knew what life was like before? Even when I accepted (and continue to accept) the various scientifc theories, they have never answered my questions about life. Even when various preachers claim that they know who God is, can they truly say that? Can they truly discern His will? Even prominent religious leaders themselves have denied that they do.

Why can't some people humble themselves, and say they don't know everything?

Update:

P.S.

I know I don't know everything, so why can't some people admit the same?

You are right. There are many things beyond the scope of our perception. Whatever we are told about such thing is just a fraction of imagination of some people who claim to be religious gurus. But they do not have any convincing theories.

For example from my childhood used to imagine suppose I get some machine to travel into the infinite, where will it end and if an end comes then what will be beyond it. I still don't have answer for it.

This is why I am so vehemently opposed to your doctrine. I have dedicated my life to reducing the hold that religion has on my fellow people and like religion, I will use any means necessary to achieve my goals. The human race simply must continue to progress by gaining more knowledge and understanding of our universe. Religion inhibits this process like a dam wall inhibits the flow of a river. I admit, there must be ethics involved with the pursuit of science and technology, but ethics as defined by religion are ridiculous! And the bible as a source of knowledge..? Come off it.

Nothing can be "understood" logically. Logic is a form of thought, not it's content. The truth or falsehood of a proposition is based on the truth or falsehood of the premises used to reach it. So, since you started with an incoherent question, the rest of your rambling lost me.

i believe in saquatch, nessie, mokele mbembe, la chupacabras, and many other cryptids, and unexplainable things

but one thing, that i have found no evidence of, and that does not convince me of its existence at all

    is the existence of god

Because it is human nature to fear that which is unknown.
